Libraries are a civic institution funded in part by the local and state governments, and from donations and fund raisers. The library can always use various forms of help,
in many venues throughout the year. Below are a few ways you can help out Bowling Green Public Library so that it remains operational for all to enjoy.
Gifts & Donations
Gifts and donations are always glady accepted with appreciation. You may give whatever you choose, if a monitary donation is not an option consider the donating of books,
reference manuals, educational items, software, and even cleaning supplies. These are always in need at the library and help everyone in the process. Bear in mind though that while the thought of support is endearing, the library
reserves the right to accept which items it deems appropriate, and to decline those items which aren't. Due to storage space large donations will only be accepted at certain times of the year (1 month prior to a used book sale).
Used Book Sale
Each year the Bowling Green Public Library holds a used book sale. All procedes from this sale go directly to the upkeep of the library. Check the "Events" section to see when the next uxsed book sale will be on.
Hardback books will be sold for 50 cents apiece or 3 for $1.00. Paperback books will be sold for 25 cents a piece or 5 for $1.00. Exceptions to these prices may be made when participating in the citywide yard sale.
Library Sanctioned Events
Throughout the year the Bowling Green Public Library hosts events to raise funds, check under the "Events" section to get a list of upcoming events and show your support of the library.
